Amendment 4
The fourth amendment protects people, their belongings and personal property. Another phrase for Amendment 4 is searches and seizures. This amendment says that you need to get permission to search someone’s house or their belongings. They have to get permission from judge and get a warrant. A warrant is something that you need to get to search someone’s house of their belongings. The police can only get a warrant if the have probable cause. Probable cause is if the person has evidence against them doing something illegal.

The fourth Amendment makes it easy for people to search for illegal things. The police have to take an oath to not check rooms not listed on the search warrant they have. The rooms on a search warrant must be specific. If a door in open and an illegal item is in plain site they are allowed to take you and the item into custody. These are the main ideas of the fourth amendment.
